Dear Weekly Readers!
God’s Peace!
God uses Man!
At the time of creation, when God wanted someone to look
after the Garden of Eden, and the animals, and all of His creation, He used
Adam and Eve.
At the time of the great flood, God used Noah to build the
ark, so that the people that turned toward God would have a place of
refuge!
At the time that the children of Israel were held in Egypt
in bondage, God used Moses to lead them out of that very difficult situation.
When the children of Israel
needed to be led into the Promised Land, God used Joshua (a picture of Jesus)
to lead them across the River Jordan into the Promised Land.
When God sent His own Son into
this world, He used Mary to give birth and Mary and Joseph to care for Him.
When God sent His Holy Spirit
into this world (fulfilling the promise of our Lord Jesus), He gave it to the
Disciples, and then to thousands of people at the day of Pentecost.
When God wanted His Word preached
on this earth, He sent preachers that possessed this Holy Spirit to preach His
Word. 1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the
world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to
save them that believe.
This all brings us to today. God’s work needs to continue on. Where do you and I fit in? Does God still use
sinful men to do His work? Are we
willing and obedient to do the work that God wants us to do?
These are some of the questions
that we can ask ourselves each day.
Remember that the Lord Jesus said
in Matthew 9: 37:38 … The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers
into his harvest.
So, what are we to do? Pray.
Jesus said to Pray. Then God’s
Word says in Psalm 46:10 Be
still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be
exalted in the earth.
Oh that we would humbly come
before God and say with the Prophet Isaiah; …..Here am I; send me.
If God chooses to use us, let us
be willing and obedient to His calling!
Romans 12: The night is far
spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and
let us put on the armour of light.
Let us not let the darkness of
this world distract us from the work of the Lord! Matthew 5:16 Let your
light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father which is in heaven!
Amen,
May God Bless your week! John R.
